Professionals in health care increasingly meet complex situations, especially regarding topics such as safety, quality, leading- and managing competencies as well as medical law and ethical framework requirements.
Installed by the Institute for Ethics and Law in Medicine, the Medical University Vienna and the Postgraduate Center at the University of Vienna, the masters program responds to the demand of quality management and patient safety addressing the complexities of the healthcare system. The course does not only apply to physicians but all healthcare professionals and individuals operating in the health care sector. It is the first program of its kind in the German speaking countries and runs fort he second time.
Degree: MSc – Master of Science in Quality and Safety in Healthcare (certificated by the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna)

Duration: 4 Semester (24 months), 90 ECTS
Schedule: part-time attendance, classes are scheduled once a month Thursday –Saturday
Location: Campus Altes AKH, Vienna, Austria

Job description: Risk- and Qualitymanager in the health care sector
The program empowers the absolvents to positions of responsibility in all fields of the health care sector (in stationary, ambulatory and residential brands), e.g. administration of risk- and qualitymanagement, controllership of institutions and divisions.
